Gullah Geechee Corridor
A cohesive digital presence and modern storytelling approach to better communicate its national cultural mission, increase public awareness
Year :
2024-2025
Industry :
Non-Profit
Client :
Gullah Geechee Cultural Heritage Corridor NHA
Project Duration :
Continuous

Problem :
The organization needed a cohesive digital presence and modern storytelling approach to better communicate its national cultural mission, increase public awareness, and engage diverse audiences across multiple states. Marketing efforts existed across platforms but required unified strategy, consistent branding, and scalable systems to support programs, events, and community initiatives.

Solution :
I led the development and execution of an integrated marketing and communications ecosystem, managing social media, website content, digital storytelling, merchandising, and event branding. By aligning visual identity, messaging, and multimedia content, I translated cultural programming and community initiatives into accessible, engaging digital experiences that strengthened audience connection and organizational visibility.

Challenge :
Working within a mission-driven nonprofit environment required balancing cultural authenticity, stakeholder expectations, and limited resources while maintaining professional marketing standards. Projects often involved multiple partners, public audiences, and evolving priorities, requiring adaptable systems and clear communication strategies to ensure consistency across initiatives.
Summary :
The organization’s digital presence became more cohesive, visually recognizable, and engagement-focused. Marketing systems supported national programming, increased audience interaction, strengthened brand visibility, and created scalable assets for ongoing campaigns, events, and community outreach initiatives.
